TRANSPORTATION

If you are a foreing, is a recomendation, be always whit a guide or a person that know the city.

If you need a taxi, always calling a companies that provide this service, or in places like airports, Hotels or shopping areas.

If you want to use the public service, try to do it, whit a person who knows for prevent loss and confusion.

Look the page of the Mobility, for know about "Pico y Placa", if you have a private vehicle, owned or leased. depending of the last number of the license plate of the car, is prohibited driving in the city in specific times.

Bogotá is a city, whit a weather very variate, for this reason, some recomendations, are:

Wear light clothing, and carryng bags, jackets or coats.
The nights and the mornings, are very cold.
In rainy season , is very important to use raincoats or umbrellas.
The midday sun, can be very strong, is important use hats or caps.
Use comfortable sport shoes, for visit many places in the city.
The night life is very active, use comfortable clothing and shoes for dancing.

For travel to Bogotá, you dont need any vaccination. Only a tip is, take a flu vaccination to prevent in times of rain.
Bogotá is located at 2600 meters above sea level, for this condition, some people suffer for lack oxygen. If you suffer this problem, the recomendation is , that you consult whit your doctor,, before travel.

The food in the city is very diverse,, for this reason you should consult if you suffer from allergies of any of the ingredients used in the meals you want.

VISA

A foreing that wish to visit Colombia, only need a valid passport, and request a visa in a Colombian embassy or consulate.

If dont exist a Colobian embassy u¡in your cuntry, you need to look in the nearest country, and notify your situation; they can help you and provide the visa.
