TRADITIONAL DISHES

In Bogotá, you can found dishes very popular of the country, the most popular are:

Bandeja Paisa:

Consist of grilled steak, fried pork rind, chorizo, rice, red beans, fried egg, sweet banana  and avocado.

Its one of the most famous dish in Colombia. 

Ajiaco:

This soup include chicken, potatoes, corn, sour cream, avocado and guasca(special herb).

Changua:

Is a creamy soup made whit milk, water, eggs and its very important serve whit cilantro.

Patacones:

Are green plantains squashed into thick pancakes that are deep fried.

Cooked corn dough filled whit meat, chicken and vegetables, are filled with chicken, pork, rice, potatoes, carrots, peas and spices.

And is more delicious with chocolate, cheese and bread.

Bogota's Fast Food

• 'Salpícón':

It's a fresh drink that you could find in anywhere in Bogota, that is prepared with a lot of fruit and orange juice (normally).

• Pieces of fruit:

Chopped fruit pieces and put into a glass. They are found in every corner of Bogota.

• 'Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro' :

In Bogota, a cinema ticket woth 4,63 dollars (9 thousand pesos) on weekdays. and the weekends , woth 98 cents more ( 10 thousand pesos).

A tip, is the CineColobia card, you can buy it, and enjoy promotions and discounts on Juan Valdéz, Sushi bars and ice cream shops.

• If you are a foreing, is a recomendation, be always whit a guide or a person that know the city.

• If you need a taxi, always  calling a companies that provide this service, or in places like airports, Hotels or shopping areas.

• If you want to use the public service, try to do it, whit a person who knows for prevent loss and confusion.

• Look the page of the Mobility, for know about "Pico y Placa", if you have a private vehicle, owned or leased. depending of the last number of the license plate of the car, is prohibited driving in the city in specific times.
